Steven Spielberg to bring back popular animation

US mega-director and producer Steven Spielberg is set to bring back the beloved 1990s animated series ‘Animaniacs’.

Amblin Television, a division of the Steven Spielberg-led Amblin Partners, is reportedly reteaming with Warner Bros. for the reboot of the famous cartoon series.

‘Animaniacs’ is a variety show with short skits featuring a large cast of characters, including the three main protagonists Yakko, Wakoo and Dot.

The three main characters had recurring jokes and catchphrases, popular with both children and adults.

The animation ran for 99 episodes – from 1993 to 1998 – and has won numerous awards.
